Thursday Concerts presented by University of Houston-Downtown will take place at Discovery Green each week. Bring your blankets for a picnic or lawn chairs if planning to sit on the north side of the hill. Purchase beer and wine at The Lake House and feel free to bring pets on a leash. Upcoming performances include Marshall Crenshaw (Smart Pop & Roots Rock) on Thursday, June 6th, 2019, Ray Wylie Hubbard - The Songwriter’s Songwriter on, June 13th, Carrie Rodriguez and Laboratorio (An Americana Chicana on June 20th, and Bruce Robinson and Kelly Willis (Americana’s Favorite Couple) on June 27th. All of these listed performances will take place from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
The Texas Taco, Tequila and Music Festival will take place on June 8th, 2019 from noon to midnight. There will be two stages of entertainment, 30 taco vendors, margaritas, tequila shots and tastings, mariachis, vendors, wrestling, a kids zone, and much more. All of this excitement will take place at Preservation Park, located at 130 School Road in Spring, TX. Kids 12 and under are free and tickets for adults can be purchased online.
Houston Property Comes Alive with Live Music and Dancing All Summer
Classical guitar enthusiasts will not want to miss the Houston Classical Guitar Festival and Competition. This event will take place from June 10th through June 15th and is hosted by St. Philip Presbyterian Church, located at 4807 San Felipe in Houston. Celebrate Juneteenth with others living in Houston by attending A Gulf Coast Juneteenth at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park. This event will take place on Wednesday, June 19th, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. The Soul Rebels will be performing with an opening by Annika Chambers, who is from Houston. Free tickets will be available between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office on the day of the performance.
Enjoy music and dance by attending the 5th annual Barnstorm Dance Fest. Come out to Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston for performances June 19th through 22nd, 2019. Support groups local to Houston as well as many from out of town. Check the online schedule and purchase tickets.

Social Argentine Tango For All with Lola and Srini will be taking place every Thursday through December 19th from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Classes will be held at the Russian Cultural Center, located at 2337 Bissonnet in Houston.
